La Pietra scartata
La Pietra Scartata (literally, the rejected stone) is an association of believers constituted of adoptive and foster families who, in the course of their experience at welcoming children, have felt the need to disseminate their conviction of God’s love among abandoned or distressed children, bringing them the hope of the Resurrected Saviour.
The association’s main goal is the preaching of hope and salvation through Jesus Christ to abandoned children, assuring them that it is possible to overcome their abandonment, if they can know the Resurrected Saviour and welcome Him in their lives.
La Pietra Scartata also:
- Takes responsibility for the fate of children entrusted to institutional care or temporarily removed from their family of origin;
- Informs, helps and supports couples and families who are willing to help abandoned or distressed children, through foster care and international adoption.
- Helps affianced couples in their path towards holy matrimony, as well as newly-wed couples in their approach to conjugal life, conception and caring.
The Association was created in 2007 and has been recognised by Milan’s Archbishop, Cardinal Dionigi Tettamanzi, as a private association of believers, pursuant to the provisions of the Code of Canon Law.
